The Kindness Collective is a Community Resource Network and a Registered New Zealand Charity with over 1000 members choosing to make kindness a priority!
As an organisation, our greatest resource is our people and their networks. The Collective works with numerous Charities, Social Agencies and Community Groups by fundraising and donating to specific projects, fulfilling agency referrals and by connecting with our businesses, our members and their networks to fulfil greater needs in the community. We like to think of ourselves as a match-making service for those who need with those who have extra to give.
Our mantra is small actions x lots of people = big change.
We have delivered Christmas to thousands of children experiencing hardship. We have donated money, food, furniture, baby items, grocery vouchers, food, clothing, made over gardens and playgrounds for women and children affected by family violence and living in poverty. We have bought iPads for children with learning disabilities, connected with businesses to donate trampolines, food, retail items, build playgrounds and sandpits.
We have kitted out entire houses for women starting life again after escaping violence and for Refugees starting their new lives in New Zealand. We have donated toys to children in hospital and delivered groceries and vouchers to support their families. We have delivered flowers, pamper packs and respite weekends away to people who need kindness due to illness or tragedy. We have filled community pantries, fed neighbourhoods and supported food banks. We have supported Charities and Community Groups with money and resource so that their work can have a greater impact.
We believe it’s easy to be kind and it's easy to help. Our Charity makes it simple for people to do both.
