Epilepsy is one of the most common neurological conditions that affect many people together with their family and whanau and wider networks such as schools, workplaces and communities.
The social cost of Epilepsy has a significant impact on the person quality of life and whilst it can be effectively managed, it is a chronic lifelong condition.
We aim to actively raise awareness of living with Epilepsy within our communities and all areas of Government. We provide high-quality training, education and support, along with a commitment to promote and commission specialist research into medical and social aspects of Epilepsy. These services allow us to tell the story of the impact that Epilepsy has on peoples lives.
