Wild School was launched to enable modern-day kids to connect with nature. Our young Gen Alpha kids exist in a completely different world to their parents. Wild School creates a bridge to allow modern kids to experience childhood how humans have for millennia.
Wild School offers a One Day Nature Programme, as well as School Holiday Programmes. With adults, we share skills and knowledge about how to support tamariki to connect more richly with nature and build intrinsic fortitude.
We operate outdoors year-round. Being based in Central Otago, we get some super toasty days and lots of chilly days too. These opportunities allow us to build resilience, develop risk assessment skills in kids, and allow children to experience the wonder of nature.
