The Friends of the Forrester Gallery Society Incorporated (“the Friends”) is a registered charity whose objectives include: to support the Forrester Gallery, its Director and staff; to foster and promote artistic development and the collection, display and performance of a wide range of forms of art; and to promote and develop arts in North Otago through ensuring that the Gallery is available to serve the community most effectively. The society has approximately 110 members, many of whom also serve the Gallery as voluntary custodians staffing the front desk for the over 300 days the Gallery is open each year.
